Student Responsibilities
Following is a list of guidelines compiled by Immanuel OPC and The Westminster School that are to be followed by all students. Please go over them with your child(ren) and periodically remind them of their responsibility to uphold these guidelines.
- Students must either be in class or study hall. Students may not play outside the church when classes are in session without the monitor’s permission. There are to be no students at any time gathering on the steps outside of the Pastor’s office. Students who are waiting for rides may either wait outside or downstairs in the study hall.
- It is preferable for students to go home immediately after their last class unless they are waiting for siblings to finish their classes. The lunchroom is primarily for students who have afternoon classes or who are waiting for siblings. It is not provided as a weekly social gathering.
- No student may leave the church property while attending school. They are not to leave the property until a parent or other designated person comes to pick them up. This includes during lunch hour. Any student violating this rule will not be allowed to continue attending The Westminster School.
- The Westminster School Lost and Found is a plastic box in the Study Hall.
- During class hours students are to quietly enter and exit the building.
Inclement Weather
Whenever the Bellmawr Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, The Westminster School will also be closed. The school closing number for Bellmawr is 564. When inclement weather is forecasted for our area, please listen to KYW 1060 for the above mentioned school closing number.
Grading at The Westminster School
Following is the standardized grading scale for The Westminster School:
A = 94 – 100
B = 86 – 93
C = 78 – 85
D = 70 – 77
F = 69 and below
No grades issued by The Westminster School may be changed by a parent, tutor, or other academic professional and still be considered a class of The Westminster School. This means that if a grade is changed, you may not list the class on your child’s transcript as a class of The Westminster School.
